"I am not saying its going to be easy..but I do believe its worth a try" are probably Alex Montas' favorite lyrics of his "Last call" Mixtape. Lyrics, which at the same time reflect his attitude towards all the challenges and obstacles that he is come across during his life journey. "I am not saying I am superman, nor impervious to failure, in fact I can say, that I've lost almost as much as I won, but each and every time that happened, I probably learned a little bit more about me, about life, and how not to repeat the same mistakes, and that in itself has made all those tests extremely worthy". Alex Montas has taken those lessons and has applied them to his music career. As a singer-songwriter his pursuit of music did not start until college, after receiving praises for voice teachers and friends who thought he had what it took in order to be a successful artist. As a songwriter he is written various tracks for a other artists and producer that has resulted in compositions in both English and Spanish. As a singer he has sang many reference tracks for producers and has also served as back up singer for bands and other solo artists. Alex Montas now believes he is ready to debut his first solo project: "The last call" mixtape. "I wanted to make these songs as personal as I could, so as I wrote these songs, I made sure that not only I gave them my own voice but that the stories on each song, were stories that I had lived and experience myself. This I believe has made each song in this album a little more powerful, because at the same time the listener can relate themselves not only to my words but to the artist who is singing them as well". With these words Alex Montas embarks in an exciting new journey, that probably will not be easy, but once you listen to his music is clear and plain to see that is definitely more than worth the try.
