DJ KEP is no rookie when it comes to honing his craft.As one of the worlds greatest blend dj's and producers in the music business he consistently show's and proves to be superior at what he does.Born 1978 in one of ruffest cities in New jersey in a urban town called Paterson.As a young boy he fell in love with the urban style of graffiti and music .Being introduced to dj'ing by a close friend he knew this would be the thing he wanted to be.But being raised by a hard working single Latin American mother of two.Kep could not afford dj equipment so at the age of 13 he took on a summer job.Saving enough money he brought himself a pair of no name turntables,a radio shack mixer,a cheap mic,and tapedeck.With the intent of honing his craft he started working and hustling his own blend tapes in high school.Inspired by other well known dj's that included DJ Juice,Doo Wop,Kid Capri,and Clue just to name a few.Back then all the popular dj's seemed to be from the NYC area so in order to compete or be amongst giants Kep knew he had to work extra hard.So he jumped on the path train to manhattan and started distributing his mix cd's with very little fanfare.Fast fowarding 17yrs. Later with his drive and consistency you can find his work on every mixtape website there is on the internet.Not only showing what he can do on cd but in the club as well.Being a part of the worlds most notorious dj crews THE ARKITECHS. Kep has performed at almost every niteclub in the tri-state area.And it dosnt stop there not only a dj but a producer as well currently using nothing but the best to enhance his sound.A korg Triton, korg X3 Keyboard,reason music software,cubase and a MPC 2000 XL.Producing for major and independent ar tist be on the look out for his patent "KILAWATTS PRODUCTIONS"over his hard drums and snares.
