Welcome To My Page !!! I'm a 47 yr. old PuertoRican, born & raised in the South Bronx...now residing in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Growing up in the streets of the South Bronx...I wasn't always an angel. But, I never messed anyone over who didn't have it coming to them. Music played a major part in getting me off the streets and perhaps saving my life. I started DJ-ing when I was 15...wow....32 years ago !!! It was back in the days when we would "JAM" in the streets & parks. Basically...I took records, cut them,scratched them, while my MC'ees would rap over the tunes. I was with a group named the "Fantasy Four" and we became pretty popular in the streets. We actually became so popular, that we signed with an agency called " After Dark Productions". After that we started playing legendary clubs such as: Extascy Garage....T-Connection....Harl em World....Audobon Ballroom..etc We played with legendary hip-hop groups such as: Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five Grand Wizard Theodore & The Fantastic Five Charlie Chase & The Cold Crush Bothers Rockin Rob & The Mean Machine We also were invited to make a cameo appearance in the move " Wild Style "...which was about hip-hop and break dancing. ( Yes...I was a movie star for a minute...LOL ) But then Dance Music started to become really popular. It was then that "Freestyle Music" (latin hip-hop) was born. I then turned my attention to Freestyle. But I was different from all other DJ's. While DJ's would just mix into different songs...I took what I learned as a hiphop DJ (cutting & scratching), and took freestyle music to a whole different level. The word got out on the streets and my mixed tapes were high in demand. I then became a member of VIP Record Pool which was founded by my cousin...legendary "DJ Al Pizzaro " (guess it runs in the family). From there I started DJ-ing in some of the hottest clubs in New York such as: Studio 54 The Red Parrot The Original Copacabana The Limelight Roseland 1018 The Tunnel Sidestreet (Bronx) LaMirage (Bronx) Riddlers & People's Club (Parkchester,Bronx) I also appeared on New York radio stations Hot 103.5....LaMega 97.1...and Miami's Power 105.1. I then started to learn remixing in recording studios and started to make my own remixes of the most popular dance songs. But then something happened. Everyone and their Grandmothers started to buy DJ equipment and called themselves "DJ's". Quite frankly..the majority of these so called "DJ's" sucked !!!! Even today I go to parties and DJ's don't know what the hell they are doing !!! This took all the fun out of the game and I walked away from it. This is why I bring all you Freestyle Music lovers the music you loved and have fond memories of on my page. Bring back good times...good memories..when life wasn't so hard.
