personal messageOne way to describe this vibrant artist would be incomparable!
From her exotic looks, downright to her multifaceted approach to music, Soni continues to lay it down on the table. Coming up in humble, artistic beginnings, in retrospect Soni has had quite an influential upbringing. Playing the piano along with other musical tactics, has helped her blossom into an artist. The Queens native's ascendancy one would say, comes from her parents. Both were very contagious in talent, having played the guitar, and sang, also managed local talent groups in which their children took part in. Both working parents who instilled in their children that potentiality comes from wanting it, feeling it.
Surrounded by many influences in her day to day life, Soni remained to be a well rounded kid. She attended catholic school in which she joined the church choir. Soni's ambitions were infinite. She starred in musical plays and performances such as New York Kids On Stage.
As Soni flourished and matured, she ventured into more interests. Her potential grew limitless. Her tenancy of an effervescent persona attracted Soni to others who were of kindred souls. Holding various positions at many jobs from catering, camp counseling to modeling embarked her to network and rub shoulders with the in-crowd. Soni's hands on approach to the music industry began when she became assistant to corporate sales for Hola Records (Jellybean Benetiz) in New York. Her love for music gave her the passion for promoting and meeting people in the music circuit.
IN 2004 she was featured on the Tony Touch album titled "The Piecemaker 2" and recorded a remake of the classic S.O.S Band record titled Just be Good to Me. She also worked with Tony on the Reggaetony albums (1 and 2) and currently has a video off of that album in rotation for the single titled "Azucar" Other artists Soni has collaborated with include Timbaland, Bubba Sparxx, The Beatnuts, Hurricane G, Lazy K, Plan B, Cuban Link and Filsonik.
In 2007 Soni hooked up with house music legend "Little" Louie Vega and released her first single titled "Here to Stay on Vega records. She's now currently recording her debut album which will be a mix of House, R and B, Hip Hop, Reggae etc to produce one of the most eclectic sounding albums of our time. She's focused, strong willed, and ready to give it her all. With all of her experiences and triumphs in New York City, Soni remains unscathed. Her devotion and love for the arts, is engraved in her soul. friends (48,679) |
