I am a Mexican American/Native American Male searching for friends
willing to discuss the diversity of the Mexican and the Latin
American People. We as a people are the product of mixing,
biologically and culturally. The Ancestry of the Latin American
Peoples come from accross the oceans, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY are
Native to the Land. Our sad reality is that we are the conqueror
and the conquered, the master and the slave. It is this struggle
that has created anger and fustration within ourselves.
We cannot change what we are, but we decide which INHERITANCE to take from each group. My Mexican heritage includes Spanish, French, Yaqui Indian, and African. I have many "Mexican" friends whose heritages are just as diverse, with Indian bloods coming from the Maya, Huichol, and Mayo just to name a few. But many are not willing to discuss their own diversity. In addition, I have found the issue of identity to be a hot topic among many Latinos/Hispanos & any other name you choose to give us. Given that we all live in los Estados Unidos, and that the gringo sees us all the same, should we not cooperate more?br> Quotes from Sitting Bull, Lakota Medicine Man and Chief was considered the last Sioux to surrender to the U.S. Government. "If the Great Spirit had desired me to be a white man he would have made me so in the first place. He put in your heart certain wishes and plans, and in my heart he put other and different desires. It is not necessary for eagles to be crows. Each man is good in the sight of the Great Spirit." "I am here by the will of the Great Spirit, and by his will I am chief. I know Great Spirit is looking down upon me from above, and will hear what I say..." "The earth has received the embrace of the sun and we shall see the results of that love." "In my earlydays, I was eager to learn and to do things, and therefore I learned quickly." "Now that we are poor, we are free. No white man controlsour footsteps. If we must die, we die defending our rights." "What white woman, however lonely, was ever captive or insulted by me? Yet they say I am a bad Indian." "What white man has ever seen me drunk? Who has ever come to me hungry and left me unfed? Who has seen me beat my wives or abuse my children? What law have I broken?" "Is it wrong for me to love my own? Is it wicked for me because my skin is red? Because I am Sioux? Because I was born where my father lived? Because I would die for my people and my country? God made me an Indian." In addition to culture, Spirituality is essential. The need for strong morality and ethics is needed. We must always be careful that in our pursuit for justice we do not become like our oppressors. Faith is needed. I am a devote Catholic, but understand that is in faith that has led me to my God. I am a student of John Paul II, Paul VI and John XXIII. Religion is a tool, a baby's walker if you will; it is a means of expressing one's faith. We must all begin somewhere, and we will need help along the way. It is true that we are not perfect, and may never be perfect, but that is no excuse for not trying to achieve perfection. Christ said we should be perfect, as our Father in Heaven is perfect. Remember, God will judge us not only by our action, but motives, and lack of actions. recent blog postsCreator's Image and LikenessPosted
Why do we live in a world that sees people as objects? Why does this world see people as a means to end, a tool, something to use and then discard? A world that says, I 'd like to toss that, hit that, phuck that, suck that, lick that, bone that? She is a hot piece of ass. I like that chorizo and the huevos hanging from it.
