Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico Savier Flores , Aka DJ Sav El cantante grew up listening to Ricardo Montaner, Los Terricolas, Angeles Negros, Tony Vega, El Gran Combo, & later on Anthony Santos. As a young boy he developed a great passion for music and after the family moved to New Jersey at the age of 8 his passion for music grew even more. He listened to all types of music including Latin, Disco, Urban and Dance. At age 13 his decided to make music his passion and he began spinning vinyl. With over 1000 records he was making a name for himself at local parties and then at clubs as he became old enough to get in. Armed with two Technique Turntables and crates of records DJ Sav made himself known all over New York and New Jersey. But spinning wasn't his only passion; he began writing songs and pursued a signing career. His first recording "Si Tu Te Vas" was cut and released in 1989 on El Records. With his seductive vocals arrangements Savier was quickly gaining recognition and he recorded "Solo Deseo" and under his own Publishing company BMI/Solo 2 Music Release date Aug 21 2011 on itunes. His fans gave him a new nick name "DJSav El Cantante". The DJ that can sing! His raw talent took him many places including cities all over the US including such venues as The Manhattan Festival on 116 Street, The Puerto Rican Day Parade, various Night Clubs and Arenas. He has made Television appearances on Telemundo and Univision. He has been featured air with Radio Station from USA, Germany, Brazil and Puerto Rico. At present Savier Flores is working on new music and is still doing what started it all... spinning records. He incorporates his vocals and music into his mixes and at any given time you might be lucky enough to catch this multi-talented performer doing his thing at a venue near you.
