Description

Creative Story Writers is a room that allows anyone willing to express their imagination and creativity. Anyone and everyone is welcome to start a story, and others in the room are to read what's posted and then add their part to it, and then others add to it and so on, helping it to form into a full blown out story with all kinds of twists and turns, ups and downs, and unexpected turns. Its a way that everyone can be involved and have fun while participating. You don't have to be an excellent writer to participate. And for the spectators, it could be entertaining just to read the postings. Everyone's welcome to start their own story, but are encouraged to participate in other posted stories.

Writing Tips:

A Story:
Stories can be funny, silly, happy, sad, scary, dramatic, suspenseful, action packed, adventurous, whatever. They can be based on true events or made up off the top of your head. Most stories have characters with issues that need fixing, The fun part though is that you get to take part in the outcome of how a character turns out and how the story ends, if it ends.

Characters:
Anyone or anything can be a character. You can play yourself as a character or make up a character, or you may play your self as a character and make up other characters as well. Its all up to you. You can continue to do so as the story goes on. Soaps do it, why can't you. One thing though is that you might want to give your made up character some background, some kind of history or establishment.

Setting:
The setting can be anywhere, from the beaches of Puerto Rico to the South Bronx, where ever you want it to be. A character can even travel, having multiple settings in the story. The story can take place during any time frame, in the past, present, future, flashback, deja vu, etc.

The Problem:
A good problem can bring up a lot of possibilities for a solution, and can even bring up more problems that drag the story on. An everyone loves a good mistery that needs to be solved. Be very creative.

How it works:
Someone will start off with their story, either introducing their plot through a character and a problem or however they want to start it. They will continue on until they want to stop. From there, someone else will step in and continue the story from that point on until they want to stop. The person from before, or a new person will continue and so on and so on. Its easier to create a character and stick to that character's story so that you don't get lost. But do it however you like.
