We are avid runners who try to promote Health and Wellness. We are members of the New York Road Runners Organization (NYRR.org) and have competed in various runs. We are also Triathletes and we've competed in a few Nautica New York City Triathlons (including the most recent in July 2009). Which brings me to this page.
I'd like to start a Runner's group (MiGente Runners). . Running in a group helps encourage your routine, supports those that need an extra push, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and more importantly, helps connect you with people who either share the same pasion or who could definitely help you finally meet that infamous New Year's Resolution of losing those few unwanted lbs. So regardless if you're a beginner or competetive, I encourage you to join my group or simply run (to stay fit!).
As for a running schedule, we could train individually at our gyms and meet one day during the weekend for a group run through Central Park.
