I have developed a passion for kayaking, although I reserve judgement on extreme ocean kayaking since the requirements seem to include it not being fun unless you're bruised and bloodied ,and you better duck underwater to avoid your kayak becoming a projectile in the surf. A cracked sternum sidelined this particular activity. However, I love climbing mountains, especially to waterfalls, holding on to trees and roots and rocks. I love paddling the sedges and rivers and bays, offroading in my FJ and riding anything. My favorite pasttime as a kid - playing chicken with brahma bulls.

For the E Coast surfers, Hurricane Dean finally came and should be pushing some good waves to us soon...

If u are scared of hights, i personally think skydiving is too much and will be a wast of time and money if u chicken out, unless u like and are looking for that type of rush and konw you will do it. I would say parasail first, its easyer and safer. And u are right, falling has no effect on G force.
I personally haven't skydived, almost did this summer. I did my HW, found a place, price was good BUT I know someone who did it and messed up his inner ear when the shoot came out, he said it was a loud pop noice that did it. But till this day his hearing is messed up and he can't go more then 5 feet underwater, for some reason he is sensitive to pressure now. I personally love water too much to risk it, but if my friends push me enouph im down for the rush.

P.S. 1 in every 2000 jumps fails. That would mean ur chances of not makeing it is someithing like 0.002% thats not bad at all.

Good luck Maria
