ONE WE ARE

I lie awake and I watch you sleep

so silently, so peacefully

I watch your chest rise and fall

and rise and fall

so mechanically

Like small waves teasing the shores bosoms

Your breath brushes my check so soft and subtle

yet so strong and noticed;

reminiscent of springs first midnight air.

As I lie awake, next to you, I train my heart

to beat in tune with yours

Yes, we are one

And if we are only perfect in gods? eyes, then I must have been blessed with his vision

If there were truly life after death I?d come back as you only to feel you completely

As I lie awake next to you, I sink into you

Yes we are one.

I?m tired of being lied to, cheated on, misled and misinterpreted.

I?m tired of being underestimated, under-appreciated, and mistrusted.

I?m tired of always feeling you man; and me never being felt.

I?m tired of playing with the cards you give me while you choose the ones your dealt.

I?m tired of licking your wounds man ;while mine become infected.

I?m tired of standing by your side man while I?m left feeling neglected.

I?m tired of lifting you up man,; my back is broken

my heart is heavy and my soul is sulking.

I have to put you to sleep.
