We help our customers produce reliable and environmentally-friendly electricity by enhancing nuclear plant availability and dependability, and by reducing operation and maintenance costs.We are currently seeking a Principal Project Engineer in our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit. Our Nuclear Power Plants Business Unit, based out of our corporate headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA, specializes in product development, systems engineering, component design, equipment manufacturing, and project management for new nuclear power plants worldwide. It is within this Business Unit that developed the AP1000 design, the safest and most economical nuclear power plant available in the worldwide commercial market place.This position is in the Module Engineering group, coordinating design of portions of the AP1000 plant that will be pre-fabricated away from the construction site to shorten the overall construction schedule.In this position, a Senior Engineer can expect to perform the following duties:- Responsible for interfacing between Module Engineering leads and scheduling group for incorporation and follow of activities for disciplines within Module Engineering. Support and represent Module Engineering at weekly ENER Schedule meetings. - Track, follow, and report on the Module Engineering ENER Schedule. - Responsible for identification of related ENER schedule activities and updates as related to Earned Value Management System (EVMS). - Requires development of a working knowledge of the New Plant Engineering organization to recognize and understand potential schedule integration issues. - Organizes and coordinates Work Authorization Forms, charge numbers, etc. for AP1000 Module Engineering activities.- Coordinates and facilitates on-boarding of new hires through identification of information access, training needs, etc.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:Experience Requirements:- Typically 10+ years in engineering or projects organizations.Travel Requirements:- Candidate may be required to travel to domestic and international sites.Education Requirements:- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science.
