Jerod Grant, 17, was born in Dayton Ohio. At the age of 3 Jerod`s father, Larry Grant Jr. and mother, Simone Scales divorced. He and his younger brother, Jonathan, were raised and lived in Chillicothe Ohio with their father. Jerod often helped look after his younger brother. This early feel of responsibility became imbedded in his personality. Jerod`s 2nd grade teacher commented that Jerod presented himself as a leader and was very mature for his age. Many people have echoed this statement throughout Jerod`s life.

Throughout Jerod`s 17 years of life he has accomplished a lot. In 1999 he received the President`s Education Award of Excellence, signed by President Bill Clinton, in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements. He has obtained numerous certificates for his educational excellence, athletic abilities and achievements.

Jerod would say his greatest achievement is his passion and love for serving and worshipping Jesus. Jerod comes from a legacy of Ministers, Pastors and Worship Leaders. His Grandfather, Elder Larry Grant Sr. pastors a church in Chillicothe. His Great-Grandfather was the late Bishop C. M. Grant. His Grandmother, Reverend Carol Williamson is a minister at her church in Dayton OH. She also, with his mother, ministers music at their church. Jerod has assisted them and also been featured on one of their recordings. His father has served as lead musician and director for many choirs and groups always taking Jerod with him as he travels. Jerod endured and attended countless rehearsals in many churches and his home as his father taught and directed these groups throughout his youth. He now assists his father and participates in these rehearsals and ministries.

Jerod has an outstanding gift. His singing abilities were noticed at a young age. Beginning as early as the 3rd grade, he`s been asked to sing numerous lead vocals in school, churches and community events. He also began playing the piano in his early teenage years, at which time he began writing and composing his own music. He has participated in many singing groups and singing competitions with the music departments of his schools. Every time he sings he receives a standing ovation. Jerod maintains a spirit of humility stating ALL glory belongs to God!

Larry L Grant Jr.

My name is Larry Grant Jr. I was born June 7, 1968 to Elder Larry Grant Sr. and First Lady Diana Grant. I come from of Legacy of ministers, worshippers and leaders.

My first remembrance of playing music was at a very young age. My mother tells the story of my being 3 years old when I first played publicly, for the Sunday School Christmas program. She chuckles saying I turned my head away from the audience and played. I began to play for the choirs at my Father`s church. We traveled a lot. I recall everywhere we went people telling me how blessed I was. I didn`t know at that time the Gift God had given me. As I grew older I continued to play. All I knew was I felt good every time I played. In church when the saints would begin to rejoice I didn`t want to get up and dance. I felt my connection through my music.

My parents signed me up for lessons when I was about 9 or 10. I remember going and not paying attention. My piano teacher finally caught me. She gave me sheet music to one song after playing a different song during that session. I played what I heard her play. She said I had an amazing ability to play by ear. I stopped going and then took some lessons again in high school. In school I played at almost every choir concert. I also sang with the all boys state choir.

I also played for many youth groups at the church. It was with one in particular True Dedication I began singing. I found that my playing and singing combined made me feel closer to God. I began rearranging songs and also writing. Many doors opened for me. Once I graduated I moved to Dayton OH. I played and sang in a few churches for a while then I stopped going. My life began changing and not for the best. I found out I was going to be a father out of marriage, and then my father became ill. I was laid off at my job. I returned to Chillicothe with my son Jerod and his mother. His mother and I married when Jerod was a year old. We then had another son, Jonathan. My life was still feeling incomplete. I knew I had to get back to the church and to using my talents for God.

I finally returned to Christ. I became happy for a while then my marriage fell apart. I divorced and became a single father. I stopped going to church again. I tried to rap myself up into my work. I went back to Ohio University and completed classes I became a police officer. I still felt something was missing. I knew what it was. I soon returned to church. My life began to flourish. I bought a home, I had my children but something still was missing. I got with some saints from around the area. We formed a group called UNITED. God richly blessed us. I was again rearranging music and writing again. I knew this was my call. My son Jerod began singing with us when he was approximately 8. I knew God had a ministry for him. My younger son Jonathan also loved music. We knew he was going to be a drummer since he was a baby. Everything he got hold of became a drum stick. God has blessed us to work together now for the past few years. We joined All Nations Church, in Columbus Ohio, Bishop Bryan Keith Williams pastor. This is where we really learned to Worship. Bishop Williams teaches you to go after God and not waiver. I thank him for all his teaching. Joining his praise and worship team, Lead by his amazingly anointed and talented daughter Achea, was a great opportunity and experience for us. Due to illness in the family our travels to ANC stopped and we remain in Chillicothe.

In February 2005, the Amazing Vickie Winans was in concert at the Chillicothe High School. Jerod and I were asked to open up. Vickie was blessed by our worship that evening. She asked for our information. I was shocked when she called my cell phone. I expected her to ask about my son, when she said she also wanted information on me I knew then that the struggles I had been through in life was for the call God had on my life. My sons and I joined together recording the songs we have written. As we are in the Studio I realize how blessed I am. For God to have given me this opportunity to join with them in praise and worship to him is awesome to me. Although I ran I knew if God said it, it would come to past. I am a living witness that God will do what he says, that he will open doors, and he will put you in places you can`t believe. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

JONATHON IS A SAVED YOUNG MAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO TAP INTO THE SPIRIT REALM AND BATTLE WITH HIS AWESOME BEATS. GOD HAS BLESSED THIS FAMILY. AND OUR ENDEAVOR IS TO USE THESE TALENTS TO MANIFEST GOD`S GLORY AND TO BLESS ALL WHO HEAR US WORSHIP HIM!
