I don't need validation. When I hold my hand out and offer my
friendship it is genuine, but please realize that online friendship
is different and our interaction will be limited. Here, I can give
you a few words, share my favorite music with you or invite you to
one of my favorite groups where we can share some dialogue and in
the process learn a bit more about each other. It isn't possible to
send everyone personalized notes daily and I don't even attempt
it.
I often get guilty sounding notes; i.e. "just sending you a note to say hi". These are unecessary and clutter my inbox. Save the note until you have something to truly say. Tell me what you're passionate about and about things that really mean something to you. Small talk is nervous chatter and as a friend I can live without it as I'm certain you can as well. "People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's b.s.! Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain!" ***Jim Morrison (December 8,1943 - July 3, 1971)*** You should live your life and try to make the world a better place for your being in it, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent God, he may judge you on your merits coupled with your commitments, and not just on whether or not you believed in him.
